Week 2 - Learning through play
This week the children have had some new exciting provision challenges and completed lots of their learning through play. In Learning Challenge, the children explored a range of musical primary sources and had to decide which came first. Some children immediately recognised the record but others had never seen one before! In maths, we have been recapping our counting skills and practiced counting on from any number up to 10. We played a game using counters and dice to make this more interesting. In science, we learned the correct names for parts of the body and had lots of fun drawing around each other! We also completed our first proper phonics lessons in our groups, had daily assemblies and covered all other aspects of the curriculum. No wonder we had such sleepy children on Friday!
