Year 6 have been studying the events leading up to the end of World War 2. We studied primary sources and then recreated the photographs by creating freezeframes in small groups. The children were tasked with putting themselves in the shoes of some of the people in the photographs and thinking about how their lived experiences of the war may have affected how the felt on VE Day. Once we had freezeframed our photographs, the children had chance to hot seat - asking questions about the people being portrayed.
