Old and New Toys 09.11.18

'Are old toys more magnificent than mine?'

 

On Wednesday, Year 1 brought in their favourite toys to help us launch our new topic. We mixed the classes and everyone was given time to talk about and share their favourite toy with a variety of children. Year 1 had so much fun explaining all about their favourite toys with each other and exploring all the amazing toys they own.

 

We then went on to compare these toys to old toys. The children were very interested in many of these toys - wondering how exactly you played with them! 

 

This has been a great start to our topic and we look forward to learning more about historic toys during our trip to Abbey House Museum next week.
