Week 5 (Sum 1, Wk 3) 04.05.20-08.05.20

Good morning, year 4! Happy Monday to you all.

We hope that you are all well and are managing to learn, play and enjoy time with your families. Your home learning tasks for this week are uploaded for you below. There are lots of different activities to get stuck into, but please remember to only do what works for you. As always, it has been super to see what you have been getting up to at home, and all the brilliant pieces of work that you have produced. Please keep sending these over to Mrs Hayton and myself so we can share them with the rest of the year group and celebrate all of your hard work.

We are forever grateful for all of your efforts. Keep up the super work and we will look forward to hearing from you!

Best wishes,

Miss Lax and Mrs Hayton smiley

VE Day

May 8th 1945, saw the ending of the Second World War in Britain. At the time it was called VE day (Victory in Europe Day). Lots of people were very happy that the war had ended and there were lots of street parties held to celebrate!

The website below provides some nice activities that you might like to try (We've already downloaded some below for you but there are more on here!):

Historic England have also published a Power Point presentation and some activities if you are interested in furthering your learning, you can find these resources here:

Posted below is a video to explain in more detail what VE day is and some activities that you might like to try!
