Art project
As part of our art project, the children in year 3 have carried out an artist study on Henri Matisee. The children discovered that Henri had previously worked as a lawyer, before falling sick and spending a lot of his time in hospital. Due to him becoming immobile, Henri started to paint and cut shapes from his painting. He used these shapes to decorate his hospital wall. The children replicated one of Henri's famous pieces and worked collaboratively to achieve a large scale collage. Take a look at the brilliant results below.
