Springbank win the KS2 Fiction Golden Owl Award
I am so proud to announce that Springbank won the KS2 Fiction category at the Golden Owl Awards last night. We have been shortlisted for the final awards for the last 3 years but this is the first year we have actually won…persistence and determination do pay off in the end! Woody gave a super acceptance speech in front of a huge audience inside Leeds Town Hall. It was an incredibly proud moment and a few tears were shed! We are all obviously delighted for all the children, including the Y6 children who had entered individual films. Poppy, Kaitlyn, Sarrah, Molly and Tomos had their individual films selected for the awards so congratulations to all of them too. Molly and Tomos received a special recognition award which was fantastic. A big thanks goes to Mr Bradshaw who has inspired passion in some of our children to become film makers and I am sure this will continue in the future. Thank you to all the parents who came along and supported the children last night.
