  • Young Voices

    Fri 09 Feb 2024

We took 90 children to Sheffield Arena to the Young Voices concert to sing and what a fantastic time we had. There were thousands of children taking part from schools across the North and Midlands, plus performances from special guest stars Natalie Williams, MC Grammar and Nandi Bushell, the teenage drumming sensation. The children had a long rehearsal in the afternoon and their energy was just fabulous. They have been working hard on a huge repertoire of songs since September.  There were dance moves to remember as well as harmonies in some of the songs and the children were just brilliant. The show lasted just under two hours and the children were so enthusiastic. It was clear to see that they all had a wonderful time. A big well done to all involved and a special thank you to Mrs Love, who has led and organised the whole event for Springbank.  Thank you to parents who have supported their children with this over the last few months, as well as to staff who gave up their own time to come along with us.

  • Benchball Intrasport tournament

    Thu 08 Feb 2024

We have had an exciting final week before the half term, with our second intraschool sporting event between the house teams. It is important that children get the opportunity to represent their team throughout the year and engage in some healthy competition. This time we chose benchball for Years 1-6 and a ball game for Reception. It has been a great success! The children participated in 6 matches, giving them the opportunity to play all the other house teams in their year group whilst also spectating and cheering on their classmates. This also gave children a chance to practise sportsmanship, the children are reminded that it is important to win gracefully and congratulate other teams regardless of the result. Well done Springbank, can't wait for the next one! The results will be in soon...
