Tue 30 Sep 2014Science at Springbank
Today was brilliant day for Science at Springbank. Lots of children got dressed up and there were loads of fun hands on activities throughout the day. The children worked in teams to find answers to questions such as 'Can I change my heart beat?' and 'Can I make light from colours?' There was a science café at lunch and it was super to see all of the children that got involved. The children all really enjoyed the day and it seemed to spark a real buzz around the subject. Fri 19 Sep 2014The whole school was a hive of activity this morning as the children worked in mixed age groups to make their scarecrows to enter into Farsley's Scarecrow Festival. As always the children were extremely creative in their design ideas and worked incredibly well in their teams to come up with one final design idea. The morning flew by and we ended up with about 30 fabulous scarecrows! Thank you to all the parents and carers who came into school to help the children; we couldn't have done it without you as it was all hands on deck. Have a look at the photos to see our final entries and look out for them around Farsley next weekend!
