  • Red Nose Day

    Mon 16 Mar 2015

For Red Nose Day this year, School Council challenged the children to get out their wooden spoons for a 'Great Springbank Bake-Off'. We were amazed by the results, so many of the children had brought in some amazing cakes for judging, eating and selling. The standard was incredibly high but finally 2 overall winners were found. Then the children moved onto a new stage of the day... the cake sale. The children started by buying some of the smaller cakes and buns themselves, before we opened the door to some very generous parents.

The children also enjoyed the chance to have funny faces as part of the day. There was some very creative face painting and even some facial hair!

We were very proud of all of the children pitching in to raise money for such an excellent cause. So far the total is £648.76 and still rising. Well done Springbank!

  • Springbank Netball at Priesthorpe

    Thu 12 Mar 2015
This week a group of eight children went to Priesthorpe for netball training. We had to dust off the kits after a long winter, but everyone enjoyed the session. We started in the hall playing some warm up games of benchball to get the feet moving, before going outside to play a few games. The children all played well and even won a few games. Look at them in action below.
  • World Book Day 2015

    Thu 05 Mar 2015
Another fantastic World Book Day saw the children demonstrating their love of reading with some weird and wonderful costumes that represented their favourite book characters. We were hugely impressed by the creativity shown in the dressing up and by the wide variety of stories that were on display. The day itself continued with some fun reading activities and, most importantly, the opportunity just to sit down and enjoy a good book. Thanks to all parents for their efforts with the costumes as they really do help to bring the day to life.
