Alien words 02-02-2020
During year 1, the children learn how to read 'alien' words alongside real words to apply their phonic knowledge. The children have learnt to add sound buttons to help them identify each sound and then use their phonics fingers to help them to sound the word out. The final step is to blend the word together to read it.
