Hello,
This week the children have been busy using their scientific observing skills! It has been science week, with the theme being 'Growing'. The children have been setting up seed experiments in the classroom to observe the stages of a seed germinating and growing into a plant as well as planting their own sunflower seeds to take home. We had an exciting morning on Wednesday when Zoo Lab visited school! The children had the opportunity to observe some exotic mini beasts, as well as a snake! Reception were very brave and had a go at touching and holding the different creatures.
Today we went to Leeds Playhouse to see Zog and the Flying Doctors! We were all very excited to travel on the bus into Leeds! The children loved watching the live show and joined in with the singing and dancing, it was a wonderful experience and a joy to see the children's light up when Zog came on stage.
We would like to say a big well done to all children who entered an egg into the Springbank Easter Egg Competition, there were some fantastic creations! We all went up to the hall to see the other entries from the rest of the school and the children enjoyed spotting egg characters.
The children have worked very hard the half term and have made great progress, we thank you for your continued support. We hope you all have a lovely Easter break and return refreshed for the summer term.
