Maya Day 17.04.2024

Today was our Maya day! In the morning, the children gathered in the hall and were given an overview to who the Maya people were. They then looked at some artefacts and had to guess what the Maya people used them for. Later in the morning, they then played a Maya game and created a stelae using Maya glyphs. In the afternoon, the children were introduced to the two types of the Maya calandar: Tzolkin (sacred calendar) and the Haab (solar calendar).
