Over the past few weeks, Year 6 have been working hard on their new unit of maths - fractions! We have been exploring equivalent fractions, how to simplify fractions, converting between mixed number and improper fractions and adding fractions! On Tuesday, we looked at ordering and comparing fractions using our knowledge of the denominators. We recapped the knowledge that the smaller the denominator, the bigger the fraction and used concrete resources to prove the answers to our questions.
