Year 4 have had an excellent first week back at school. We have jumped straight back into normal lessons and the children have taken it in their stride.
In writing lessons, we have gone back to basics and the children have really impressed us with the quality of their sentences. We practised using expanded noun phrases, fronted adverbials and adverbs to improve the quality.
The children have also been introduced to our new learning challenge for this half term... the Victorians, and the children have wowed us with knowledge that they already had! We cannot wait to get stuck into this topic!
