Planting sunflowers

 

Year 5 took part in raising money for Ukraine today by planting a sunflower as this is the national flower of Ukraine. The children have been relating this back to their rights and are looking forward to seeing their plant grow at home! 

 

Did you know? Ukraine is responsible for 46% of the world's sunflower crop and is a major world supplier of sunflower oil!
