Year 3 spent a day, a very wet day, at Nell Bank where they enjoyed travelling back to prehistoric Britain. As a group, they built shelters from sticks just as Stone Age people had. They also attempted to light a small fire using different prehistoric tools, which as they discovered was not an easy task! Whilst sat in a real Stone Age house, the children enjoyed weaving baskets, learning about tools and creating cave paintings. What a brilliant way to start our exciting new topic!
