Introduction to the Victorians
In our History lesson this week, we have been learning all about who the Victorians were, how they got their name and where they came chronologically in History.
The children showed great knowledge and understanding of chronology and were able to show their historical enquiry skills well when asked to construct a chronological timeline - it was lovely to hear the children reminiscing about when they were learning about the Stone Age this time last year!
During this lesson, the children also started to learn about the Victorian Era, in particular looking at the very different lives of wealthy Victorian children and poor Victorian children and the impact of the Victorian Era on Britain.
