Good morning, Year 5! 

We hope everyone is well and managing to play, learn and laugh with your families. This is a special week as the country will commemorate the 75th anniversary of VE day. Don't worry if you don't know what that means - the activities this week are all about VE day. We hope you enjoy learning all about our country's history and the wonderful celebration that was had! There are lots of activities it get stuck into, but please remember to only do what works for you. On Friday, the anniversary of VE day, why don't you try putting everything you have learned over the week together and have a VE celebration with your family. There are lots of activities to be getting on with, so if you feel like you need extra, there is a section at the bottom with additional and fun activities you could be doing, including some lovely World War Two recipes! 

If you're a Star Wars fan, Monday is a very important day! May the fourth be with you! You will find lots of activities about the Star Wars activity in the additional learning section below.

Child friendly Leeds are having an online competition. Send them any pictures or work you have created and you may win a competition! Find the link here!
