The Ancient Mayans
This week in Year 3, we launched our new learning challenge: The Ancient Maya! To really understand this topic, the children made a chronological timeline of past historical events. Once they had created their timeline, they then added the four different periods of Mayan history – understanding that the Mayan’s still existed in Mexico and Central America today. To present their timeline, the children made a video animation on the ipads and posters.
