Henry Moore Gallery 10.10.23
Year 6 headed into Leeds City Centre to visit the Henry Moore Institute and Leeds Art Gallery to work with resident artists to create their own art. The classes explored the institute and gallery, spending time in their current exhibitions surrounding words and feelings - we looked at art from across the world and discussed what we liked and disliked about it and the meaning we could gather from it. Both classes then spent time creating their own art using printing and geometric shapes. The children really enjoyed the opportunity to express themselves in a different way.
