Morag Myerscough inspired art - Autumn 1 project

Over the past few weeks, Year 6 have been learning all about the use of typography in art. First, we looked at an artist named Morag Myerscough who used positive messages and bright, bold colours to change people's perception of urban spaces. We then used this as inspiration to create our own typeface which was unique to us. Using our typefaces we then created bold and exciting posters which will be displayed around school to inspire children to be themselves, be the best they can be and to never give up! I'm sure you will agree that the children should be incredibly proud of their art work and they look stunning!
