Countryside Day
Year 4 went to the annual Countryside Day at Harrogate showground. Linking with their science topic of habitats last half term and sustainable living this half term, the children completed a range of activities such as: ragrug making, learning about conservation and the story of grain, handling farmyard animals and pets and making things out of recycled resources. There were also other fantastic exhibitions to see such as a parade of farmyard animals with farmers from the local area, birds of prey with the falconry centre, gun dog displays and a sheep show where the children witnessed sheep performing their best dance moves - who knew sheep could dance?! The children had a great day in the sunny Yorkshire countryside!
