Visit to Sunny Bank Mills 10.12.18
Year 5 at the Mill
Year 5 took a trip to Sunny bank Mills today to learn all about the role of the mill during the First World War. We worked with Nancy, a story teller who really bought the stories and characters from the time to life! We began working on some of our projects as well, learning about the balloon lookouts who would fly across the skies and the sweetheart brooches worn by many of the soldiers at the time.
