Science of Sound
To finish off their Science unit on sound, the children in Year 4 took part in a Science of Sound day this week. In the morning, the children took part in lots of different scientific investigations designed to show their understanding of how sound travels and what kinds of things affect the pitch and volume of a sound. Following on from this in the afternoon, the children were able to create their own musical instrument so that they can demonstrate their understanding of sound at home! A great day was had by all and it was a wonderful way to end the unit!
