Stone Age houses
Today, the children learnt about housing and settlements from Palaeolithic times to the Iron Age. They were then split into groups and had to create a model for a given time period. The children worked incredibly well in their groups sharing ideas, taking turns and discussing the specifications for each model. At the end, they created a housing timeline and shared the changes that occurred over time. They identified that the main change had been from a nomadic lifestyle to farming, which resulted in shelters becoming permanent homes.
