Conker Hunt 19.09.18
We're going on a conker hunt, we're going to find a big one
Today one of the children brought in a conker from home. This sparked a discussion about where conkers come from, how they grow and where we could find some. We went out on to the field to track down some conkers and luckily we found lots. We even found a giant conker shell with 3 conkers inside, much to the children's delight!
Back in the classroom, the children drew pictures of conkers and trees and even did some crayon rubbings to reflect the spiky texture of the shells.
