Today in science, we looked at how shadows can change size in relation to the object’s position to the light source. The children tested this using a torch and an opaque object, slowing moving the torch (light source) closer and further away from the object to see how the shadow would change. The children discovered that when they moved the light source closer to the object, the shadow would get bigger and when they moved it away, the shadow would get smaller.
