Hello!
This week the children have been learning the traditional tale of The Three Little Pigs for our final Talk4Writing unit of the year. They have been learning actions to help retell the story, they have created story maps and we have had some wonderful retellings of the story.
Next week the children will be using their phonic knowledge to write the story. They will also make the story their own by changing elements of the original.
In maths this week we have been doing lots of problem solving. The children have been finding missing numbers, combining amounts and halving numbers.
Next week we will be creating patterns using a range of resources and exploring the pattern of number through this too.
Next week we are looking forward to our Spo
rts Day on Thursday morning. The children have been practicing the events lots in preparation for this exciting morning. Fingers crossed for good weather!
Please ensure that your child has a sun hat, water and sun cream applied each day as the weather seems to be cloudy one minute and sunny the next at the moment.
