Trip to Nell Bank - 07.05.21

To revisit our learning from Spring term, the children visited Nell Bank to learn all about rivers, rocks and the water cycle. The children enjoyed taking a walk through Ilkley to the River Wharfe and learning all about how rivers are formed, as well as partaking in a game of poohsticks to test the flow rate of the water! In the afternoon, the children orienteered their way around Nell Bank centre and finished the day with some pond dipping, where they discovered lots of different creatures, including tadpoles and newts!
