This term in DT, the children are going to be designing and making their own fruit salad. So far, the children have learnt a little about where fruit comes from and have found out that a lot of fruit does not grow in the UK because of the climate. They have learnt about food hygiene and created posters to remind themselves of the steps they need to take in order to be hygienic. They are very good at remembering the actions we made up for the steps.
This week, we looked at some existing, pre-packaged fruit salads and then had the opportunity to taste test the different fruits. Some went down better than others!
There are some interesting facial expressions on some of these photos.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
