Leeds Playhouse - The Great Fire of London
This half term, Year 1 are lucky enough to be working with Leeds Playhouse! Each week the children have an hour session with a drama teacher where they develop not only their drama skills but also their knowledge about The Great Fire of London. Last week, the children learned how Stuart houses were built and what the streets of London may have looked like at the time. This week, the children learned how the fire started and spread throughout London. In the photos, you will see the children holding a red piece of fabric to represent the spark that started the fire. The children had to think carefully about how to move their body to represent the fire spreading. We can't wait until the next fantastic session!
