The Christmas Truce 03.12.2019
The children experienced what could only be described as a war zone as they came into the classrooms on Tuesday! They are beginning to learn about The Christmas Truce which happened in 1914 in World War 1. Not only were the children able to come up with good vocabulary about how this made them feel, but they too were putting themselves in the shoes of those very soldiers with freeze frames and role play. The children will be writing a poem verse about what they would think and how they would feel if they were those soldiers who sang Silent Night on that day.
