Investigating light and the visible spectrum
On Tuesday, Year 6 followed in the footsteps of Sir Isaac Newton and put to test his theory of colour. We looked at how we can see the visible spectrum (colours of the rainbow) because of the individual wavelengths of the colours of the light. We then created colour wheels to see if we could prove that the colours blend to create white. There was a lot of 'oohing' and 'ahhing' as the children realised that we can blend colours and some children even suggested that they wanted to recreate the lesson at home to show parents and carers just what we had learnt!
