Today the children had the opportunity to immerse themselves in Ancient Greek culture, guided by our very own archaeologist, Katerina the children took part in a variety of different activities designed to introduce them to their new topic!
In the morning, the children examined a wide variety of replica Greek artefacts, sketching them before trying to guess what they had been used for! They followed this up with playing an Ancient Greek game and learning some of the alphabet.
During the afternoon, the children learnt another game that the soldiers in Ancient Greek would have played which relied on their ability to form strategies! They then took part in an art activity where they drew their own black and orange pottery before trying on some replica Greek armour and weapons!
The children really enjoyed themselves today and I am sure they are eager to tell you all about it!
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
