Sports Competitions 2020 - 2021
Cross Country at Stanningley Rugby Club 26.05.2021
Year 6 took part in their first Sporting event of the school year by competing at the West Leeds Cross Country event. The course was certainly not an easy one with two hills and plenty of mud but every single athlete gave their absolute all to the course and produced some incredibly fast times. For some of our athletes it was their first time competing in cross country and we even had some children competing in their first ever sporting event representing Springbank! They should all be incredibly proud of their efforts. I also have to mention how incredibly proud myself, Mrs Cowley and Mrs Hullah were of the children's attitude as we arrived at Stanningley. Due to Covid, we had to run our race at different times to other schools and stay in our bubbles. When we arrived, there were 2 other schools before us and our children cheered them all on to the finish line (from a safe distance!). They chose to do this without being asked and it just shows how absolutely fabulous our children are! Well done Year 6!
