Hunter gatherers
Year 3 have been busy being hunter gathers in the school grounds. The children were split into tribes. The playground was winter so the food was scarce and so they went across Doggerland and moved the camps into summer (the school garden) where there was an abundance of berries, fish, deer and other food sources for them to gather. This fun, active lesson helped the children understand that nomadic people had to travel and move to find food to sustain themselves.
