History - Chronological timelines
Our new history topic in year 3 is Ancient Egypt! Today, the children explored the historical enquiry question 'Who were the Ancient Egyptians?'
The children first placed ancient Egypt on a historical timeline and discovered that the Ancient Egyptian civilisation lasted for over 3000 years from 3100BCE to 30BCE!
As a class, we then moved on to look closely at some key events that happened throughout this time period; such as the building of the first pyramid and the reign of Tutankhamun! We then put these events in chronological order using our knowledge of BCE and CE.
