Year 5 have made a fabulous start to their restaurant topic over the last two weeks! We have begun looking at what makes a meal 'balanced' and the different food groups we need to include within a meal. We have compared nutritional labels to see if there really is such a thing as a healthier version of a food and to help us decide if we should believe the adverts when they say '30% less fat'.
For the creation of our restaurant night, we have chosen our restaurant groups and worked together to begin our market research. We took our some food choices to the playground to see what foods people really want to eat. Using our maths skills, we took our results and created a bar chart to help us understand the data more clearly.
