Learning about plants
Year five worked really hard today learning all about the life cycles of plants! We started the day learning the tricky vocabulary associated with parts of the flower and how these parts relate to the pollination of flowers. We looked at real flowers and worked out if we could spot these parts in our tulips!
To show all this learning, we created some fabulous animations which showed the pollination process. We had some adorable bees!
In the afternoon we worked on our prediction skills by thinking about the ideal conditions for a plant to germinate.
