Art Day (Weaving) 05.10.21

 

Today, the children were introduced to their new art project for this half term: weaving. We began this morning at looking at a local artist, Agnis Smallwood, and created a research page about her. After that, the children had a go at paper weaving, using wefting and warping techniques to create an end piece, some inspired by Agnis herself! We will have another day in the next week to begin to look at colours and start our final piece, weaving with yarn to create a piece of cloth.
