Firework-Maker's Daughter Book Launch

This half term we are going to be reading the book, The Firework-Maker's Daughter by Philip Pullman. In order to excite the children we decided to launch the book with sparklers! To avoid setting off the smoke alarms we decided to do this outside by sticking the sparklers into cakes. Unfortunately it was SUCH a windy day that the sparklers refused to light so after a bit of fumbling inside we managed to light the sparklers so that everyone managed to get at least a glimpse!
