Our learning 04.05.2021 - 07.05.2021

Our learning this week...

Although this week has been a short one due to the Bank Holiday, Year 6 have certainly been busy! In maths, we've been recapping and building on our knowledge of angles. We've measured using a protractor, drawn using given dimensions and looked at missing angles on a straight line. Our English has been focused on 'Holes' where we've written some excellent information texts around a cross breed of Yellow-Spotted Lizards, scorpions, rattle snakes and buzzards, as well as making connections in our reading to different characters in the story. Our science learning built on last week's session on Charles Darwin and Alfred Wallace, with our History focussing on the Great Raids of Lindesfarne in 793CE. We finished the week off with a bang by beginning to put together our West Side Story dances which we will build up over the next 3 weeks. As you can see from the photos below, the children have really captured the attitude of the Sharks and Jets!!
