Day and Night 

 

Today in science, we worked on understanding why we have day and night. We started off by thinking of our own reasons why it is dark at night time and light in the day. We had some great ideas! Then we used a ball and a torch to think about how this could help us demonstrate ideas about day and night. Finally we looked at models and demonstrations to help us understand! We have day and night because the Earth rotates on it's axis once every 24 hours.
