Dear Zoo
Over the last 2 weeks Reception have been learning to retell the story of Dear Zoo. We have learnt the story by retelling it with actions, we then drew a story map to help us remember the key points. We all have drawn a story map so that we can retell the Dear Zoo in our own words. Some children even had a go at using their phonics knowledge to write Dear Zoo. After we learnt the story off by heart we then started to adapt Dear Zoo to make our own story. We decided to write to Asda! We really wanted them to send us something yummy to eat but they sent all sorts of wrong things. In the end they got it right, after thinking for a while, they sent us some delicious grapes!
