Anglo-Saxon Day
Year 5 had a fantastic start to their new History learning challenge with their Anglo-Saxon day in the first week back! The children were visited by an Anglo Saxon who came to help them learn about what life was like 1600 years ago. During the day the children had the opportunity to examine artefacts that related to the Anglo Saxon time, play some games that the Saxons would have played, create their own keyrings decorated with runes and design their own longhouse! The children had a lovely day and can't wait to learn more about this period of history!
