Trip to Cartwright Hall 23.05.23
Our Learning Challenge in Year 2 this half term has been all about David Hockney. So as we are David Hockney experts, we were all excited to visit Cartwright Hall Art Gallery on Tuesday. We had the opportunity to look around the art galleries and ask questions about the paintings and sculptures that we saw. We also took part in a workshop where we practiced using different techniques similar to David Hockney. We even got to see the famous swimming pool piece, 'Le Plongeur' - we couldn't believe how big it was! As a treat we got to play in the adventure playground, we all had such an enjoyable day and look forward to the next one!
