Gymnastics in Year 2
The children have really enjoyed our gymnastics sessions on Tuesday afternoons. So far, we have learnt how to travel in different ways and how to do a stretched jump and a tucked jump. Today, we learnt two different types of balance, including an arabesque balance and a sit balance. We really had to engage our core muscles for the sit balance... I think you might need to do a few sit ups Year 2! The children enjoyed practising these new balances on the beams and platforms.
