This week, Year 1 visited Skelton Grange for their first EVER trip! On our trip we had a look at a variety of plants to see how key parts of a plant can vary. On our journey through the forest, we created a sticky postcard to remind us of all the beautiful plants that we discover. As you can see, the children found a wide variety of plants and created a beautiful, colourful collage. The children’s favourite activity of the day was our pond dipping session! We found some weird and wonderful insects and were particularly fascinated by the Phantom Midge Larva and Water Boatmen that lived in the pond. All day, the children were grinning from ear to ear and we had some very sleepy children on the way home.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
