Changes made since the GFoL - Fire Rescue Service
This half-term the children have focused on the topic ' The Great Fire of London'. The children have been learning all about why the fire spread so quickly and that in 1666 they did not have a fire service.
Our Year 1 children were very lucky to have a visit from Firefighter Dunn (Eliza and Noah's mam) who spoke about the fire service throughout the years and even let the children try on her uniform! Sarah spoke to the children about how to stay safe in their homes and the safety measures we now have to prevent fires spreading.
