Year 5 Autumn Week 5
We started the week with an exciting trip to Tropical World. The children loved exploring the different animals and plants, asking great questions and learning lots about habitats, diets and adaptations 🐍🌿
In maths we continued solving addition and subtraction problems. The children practised using different strategies to tackle tricky calculations and showed great focus throughout 🔢
In English we worked on building tension in our writing. The children experimented with descriptive language, short sentences and suspenseful moments to make their stories even more engaging ✍️
In science we explored separating mixtures. The children enjoyed investigating different materials and using techniques such as filtering, sieving and dissolving to separate them 🔬
In art we began drawing animals in preparation for our final piece. The children focused on careful observation and accurate detail, ready to develop their work further in the coming weeks 🎨
It has been a fun and busy week full of learning, creativity and curiosity in Year 5 🌟
